Charitable Remainder Annuity and Unitrusts Back

A Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust can be established during a donor’s lifetime or by will. The donor irrevocably transfers assets to the Trust which makes annual payments to the donor or other beneficiary(ies).

When the trust terminates, the remaining principal in the Trust is used to establish a named endowment fund according to the donor’s instructions.
The Trust can be for the benefit of your synagogue, your school or your favorite charity (Jewish or non-Jewish, at home or in Israel).
